| Tendering |
| Once the deadline for a tender has passed the button next to the item will change style and you cannot action it again. All you can do is check back later for its status or wait for notification of your success or otherwise.
To allow for mistakes or a simple change of mind you can submit several tenders for the same item. Your latest one will be the one used at expiry time. To cancel any tenders on an item, simply resubmit with a zero value. The confirmation screen will appear and you need to take no other action. |
| Purchasing |
| When you submit a purchase request it's transmitted with the date and time of submission, as for a tender. Orders are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. When the item page is refreshed (e.g. when accessed again from the Main Menu), the green 'BUY' button changes to show you've requested that item. It's only recorded as such on your computer and would still therefore appear available for sale to anyone else!
What happens if that's the case? You will of course be notified if someone else happens to have bought a particular item before you. It's for this reason that an on-line payment (checkout) facility is not available. Also, please note that to gain more coverage, items could also be listed on other auction sites such as my ebay ones! (That site would be quickly modified by removing from there). It could happen more often if listing pages are not changed here regularly. Naturally, it's hoped to keep all of this to a minimum! Hopefully this Buy-button refresh will help you to keep track if you're looking at buying other items! It also avoids confusion where multiple items are ordered and gives time for accurate calculation of postage costs. Please check the Postage Details page for more on this. Although mistakes can occur, you are sure to find that items here will cost less than what you'd find on my ebay sites (and hopefully everyone elses!). This is possible because of not having to endure listing fees, final value fees (including postage!) and the optional Paypal fees which are also totted up including postage. |

| The bottom line of each listing screen shows when it was last updated. I wrote this site in my spare time and it is not flawless. From previous experience, suggestions for site improvements are hardly ever forthcoming, but they are nevertheless always welcome, as are of course any notifications of difficulty. | When you attempt to buy or place a tender entry fields will appear for your vital contact information. This is the same as on your profile page. In order that you only need to enter these once during this session and later ones, those need to be held on your computer as cookies. Your details will never be supplied to anyone else.
